Growthmate ("we," "us," or "the Company") operates the mobile application "Higaran" (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use the Service. We comply with applicable laws including Korea's Personal Information Protection Act and the EU GDPR where applicable.

02Information We Collect

We do not directly collect any personal information from you. The Service does not require account registration or login, and you can use it without entering any personal data.

A. Automatically Collected (Stored Locally)

• Learning progress data (e.g., incorrect characters list, selected language) — stored locally on your device only, not transmitted to any external server
• Basic device information used by the app at runtime (screen size, OS type)

B. Collected by Third Parties (Advertising Partners)

The Service uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob may collect:

• Advertising Identifier (AAID)
• Device information (model, OS version, language settings)
• IP address and approximate location
• Ad impression and click data

The Service also uses the Meta (Facebook) SDK to track installs originating from Instagram/Facebook advertising. Meta may collect the following for ad measurement and install attribution:

• Advertising Identifier (AAID)
• Basic app events such as app install and app open
• Device information (model, OS version, language settings)

C. Google Analytics (Website Only)

Google Analytics is used only on our website (higaran.netlify.app) to analyze site usage. The Android app does not include Google Analytics and does not collect this data. When you visit the website, Google Analytics may collect:

• Visit history and page view data
• Device and browser information
• Approximate location (country/region level)
• Referral source (how you arrived at the site)

03How Information Is Used

• To provide and operate the Service
• To save your learning progress locally on your device
• To display advertisements and measure ad performance (handled by third parties)
• To analyze website usage (Google Analytics, website only)
• To improve the Service and respond to errors

04Data Retention

Because we do not collect personal information directly, we do not retain any user data on our servers. Learning progress stored locally on your device is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Information collected by advertising partners is retained according to their own privacy policies.

05Third-Party Disclosure

We do not share user information with third parties. However, Google AdMob independently collects information for ad delivery, Meta (Facebook) independently collects information for install ad measurement, and Google Analytics independently collects website usage data (website only), each governed by their own privacy policy.

06Personalized Ads & Advertising ID

Ads displayed in the Service may be personalized based on your Advertising Identifier (AAID). You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.

How to reset your Advertising ID

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID or Reset advertising ID

07Children's Privacy

The Service does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

08Your Rights

You may exercise the following rights at any time:

• Delete locally stored information by uninstalling the app
• Reset your advertising ID in your device settings
• Contact us with questions regarding this policy

09Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in law or in our service. Updates will be posted on this page.
